good point there, but i was stating pigment colors not colors from light, cause im not sure how the programmers made the color system work on this, but still a good point made

To my mind, Dye Remover acts just as water or turpentine does: thinning out paints, thus making them lighter. Therefore, in theory if you keep on adding Dye Remover to any primary coloured Dye, it should eventually end up either white or a very pale version of the original colour. Feel free to flame these ideas if you wish.

From my experiments yesterday, dye remover DOES act like water/turpentine - it makes the dye fainter and transparent, not white.

Haven't kept up with this thread for some time. In the meantime I tried my combination of Yellow+dye remover + dye remover, which gave me a really nice mint green for my mesmer, on my elementalist. The result was a kind of nice tannish color. So I really also think that mixing dye remover acts to make the dye a bit transparent, letting the background color contribute.

For example: The reason why a blue shirt is blue is because it absorbs all colors EXCEPT for blue. Blue is the only color reflected back. Therefore, you only see the color reflected back into your eyes making you see the blue color in the shirt. If all the colors are absorbed, you see black. Therefore, as stated before, BLACK is the absence of color. WHITE is all of the colors being reflected back into your eyes from an object that looks white. |

The closest I've ever gotten to white armor was purchasing monk Saintly armor at Marhan's Grotto.
